A retrieval cue can be thought of as the especially salient or significant part of retrieval information, those aspects of the individual’s physical and cognitive environment that initiate and influence the process of retrieval. (Tulving, 1983: 171). According to Tulving, all you need to do to convert a stimuli into effective retrieval cues is to tell the person that you want him to think of a particular event in his life that the phrase or picture of the friends reminds him of (Tulving, 1983: 169-170) in other words, the cue is a conversation, and we can see this relation between stimuli and effective retrieval cues in social media networks through the use of hashtags.
A beta tester is someone who tests a product before it is released. Product testers help companies identify weak points in their products that could cause consumer frustration. They also identify specific issues that need to be corrected before a product can be released. Typically, these individuals test several incarnations of a product until it is deemed ready for release.
